While the Society’s bylaws provide the general framework for the running of the Society, from time to time the Executive Board also adopts policy statements that either provide further guidance on subjects treated in the bylaws or that may be required in keeping with its status as a tax-exempt, nonprofit organization under Section 501 (c) (3) of the United States Internal Revenue Code.
